Talbott Solar and Radiant merges with leading Arizona-based solar company
(Davis, Calif. – Aug. 7, 2018) Two leading solar companies have merged in order to better serve Davis and its surrounding areas with the latest in solar technology and services. Talbott Solar and Radiant, named Best Solar Company in the Davis Enterprise annual Readers’ Choice survey, is joined by Arizona-based Sunny Energy, named one of the top solar contractors in the United States by Solar Power World magazine for the last three years.
Sunny Energy of California, as it will be known, will provide residents with the latest in PV (photovoltaic) systems, battery storage and energy management. In addition, it will continue to help homeowners lower their carbon footprint and save thousands on their utility costs.
Joe Cunningham, director of operations and co-founder of Sunny Energy, said the expansion into California is a good move for the company and joining with Talbott Solar and Radiant gives both companies the opportunity to provide a broader spectrum of services in the area and to expand throughout the state.
“Sunny Energy of California will focus on delivering superior performance by using the best design, installation, equipment and financing options in order to ensure optimal value and performance,” said Cunningham. “Our goal isn’t to be the biggest solar company in California, but rather to be the best.”
Talbott Solar, which has installed about 25 percent of all the residential rooftop projects in Davis, has been in operation since 1975. Owner and long-time Davis resident Dean Newberry says their mission will remain the same: to help the people of Davis and Yolo County live comfortably with a light ecological footprint.
“We are looking forward to bringing new energy products and services to help improve the sustainability and reliability of our shared energy infrastructure,” said Newberry. “This new venture with Sunny Energy will bring additional knowledge and expertise that will better help serve the needs of our current and prospective clients in the area.”
